On Tuesday, February 8th, the Global Energy Security Forum in FIU’s School of International and Public Affairs will present "The Global Energy Outlook to 2030”. The presentation explores the global energy context within which the world will implement new energy policies and measures to address global warming. The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the MARC Pavilion at the FIU Modesto A. Maidique Campus.
Special guest speaker Scott Nauman, Manager of Economics and Energy in the Corporate Planning Department of ExxonMobil, will present an assessment of energy supply and demand through 2030. He will discuss the link between economic progress and energy consumption and examine the underlying factors shaping energy supply and demand challenges around the world.
“When it comes to global energy, nobody understands it better than ExxonMobil,” said Edward Glab, Director of the Global Energy Security Forum.
In addition, the presentation will cover renewables, the growing demand for power generation and transportation, and reduction of CO2 emissions.
